Food: Peanut Chutney(Maharashtrian style)

Hello friends, Namaste. Hope all you guys are doing well and enjoying life. Todays blog is about one kind of Chutney which is very much popular in Maharashtra state of India. This chutney is very simple to make and tasty to eat. As heading clearly indicates its main ingredient will be Peanuts.

Ingredients : Roasted peanuts medium crushed ( 100 gm)

Red chilli powder-medium spicy ( 1 table spoon)

Groundnut oil ( 1 table spoon)

                     Garlic Cloves (3-4)

                     Salt (as per taste)

Process : In the smaller container of mixer add roasted peanuts, red chilli powder, garlic cloves and salt. Now grind it so that the peanuts in mix are medium crushed. Now in a pan take 1 table spoon groundnut oil. Once hot add the mixture and toast it for 2-3 minutes. See that flam should be low otherwise chutney will burn and loose its charm. Chutney can be made more or less spicier by adding or decreasing quantity of red chilly powder.

This kind of chutney is eaten with Indian breads like Chapati (made with wheat flour), bhakri (made with sorghum, Bajra, corn). This is most liked and popular side item with lunch and dinner in many maharashtrian families.

Try this and let me know through comments how it tastes.
