Renewable Energy
Renewable energy is the energy that is collected from natural, renewable sources and processes that are constantly refilled.
Energy plays important role in physical, social and economical development of society. As of now fossil fuels have played important role in majority of energy production. With contribution in production of energy, Fossil fuels also contributes in major production of carbon dioxide and green house gases to environment.
Till the date, due to multiple limitations from underprivileged energy policies, insufficient funds, lack of technological research and development, lack of appropriate infrastructures and rapid growth in population is reason for subsequent increase in energy demand in the developing countries and has led to emerging energy crisis which in effect increases people’s dependency on non-renewable energy sources.
But Renewable energy is booming worldwide now-days, as innovation and technology are bringing down the costs and time required to build setup. Decreasing cost of some renewable energy equipment, Climate change and global warming concerns are playing very important role in turning many nations towards use of renewable energy. Many countries in the world have popular support for using renewable energy, particularly solar and wind energy, which don’t emit carbon dioxide and other green house gases that contribute to global warming.
Renewable energy is also often referred as clean energy. Clean energy in a manner that renewable energies are much less harmful to environment as compared to fossil fuels. There are several types of renewable energies which are produced from different resources like sun, wind or water.
The major types of renewable energy resources are
Biomass
Hydropower
Geothermal
Wind
Solar
Sun, wind, waves, rivers, tides, biomass, heat from the earth's mantle are all ample and ongoing, hence the term "renewables".
There are world wide geographical areas that may give significant opportunities to produce efficient renewable energy. Increasing initiative of many countries to utilize renewable energy and implement energy efficient technologies is resulting in reducing global warming, is cost effective and has lots of benefits to resist climate change.
This might lead us all towards clean and green future.
